Find a Licensed Vendor

UW–Madison departments, units, and organizations may only buy goods from licensed or approved vendors to ensure quality, consistency, and appropriateness of design. This is true even if purchases are exempt from royalties.

In addition, all university departments, clubs, or organizations that produce publications must require the advertisers of products bearing university indicia in those publications to be licensed.

List of approved vendors

The following list is for UW internal use. Campus partners can contact these vendors to secure their products. If you’re unable to find an internal vendor that can source your product, please contact the Trademark Licensing Office at trademarklicensing@wisc.edu. We’ll do our best to connect you with a licensed vendor who can help.

Large purchase orders

Orders greater than $5,000

A purchasing contract for internal promotional goods and apparel is required for larger purchases by UW–Madison departments. This contract allows departments to purchase promotional products up to and greater than $5,000 in value. There are three vendors to choose from. We encourage you to shop and compare each of the three vendors’ products for the best price.

Frequently asked questions

|

UW–Madison has existing licensed vendors that provide merchandise and products that meet the needs of nearly any project. There are very limited instances where one-time use agreements will be issued when all available avenues have been exhausted. Contact the Office of Trademark Licensing with any questions.

Vendors need to follow the established UW brand guidelines and policies as well as any additional branding guidelines established by a campus department or unit.

Campus departments and units should develop and approve their overall design in conjunction with their selected licensed vendor. Licensed vendors do submit all artwork on behalf of their clients to the Office of Trademark Licensing for additional approval to ensure proper display of UW–Madison marks.
